Breast Lift
In this procedure I will lift a sagging breast.

The procedure is done similar to a breast reduction but no breast tissue or little breast tissue is removed.

In this procedure I will reduce the size of the breast as well as lift the breast
Insurance criteria for breast reduction coverage
Patients typically complain of back,neck and shoulder pain
They may notice that they have shoulder grooving from the bra.
Most patients have tried Advil or Motrin to help alleviate the pain.
Insurance companies like to see supportive letters from either a chiropractor or a physical therapist stating how long
they have been under treatment and that breast reduction may help.
Pre-operatively
I ask that patients get a sonogram and or mammogram pre-operatively to ensure there are no abnormalities in the
breast tissue. On the day of surgery the patients should wash with an antimicrobial wash starting with a clean face cloth
from the upper to the lower breast then into the underarm.
Procedure
The procedure is done under general anesthesia and takes under three hours.
I place drains which usually stay in for 2 days after the procedure
The patient is placed into a surgical bra at the end of the procedure. The bra acts to hold the dressing on, I try to avoid
any tape on the skin.
Post-opertively
Patients should refrain from work for at least a week if not 2 weeks. If the patients job requires heavy lifting then they
should be out of work for at least 4 weeks
