Preoperatively
Avoid medications which will affect bleeding such as aspirin, advil and motrin. Vitamen E and alcohol will also thin the
blood and should be avoided 1 week prior to surgery.
Intraoperatively
Most of my patients are under general anesthesia. Incisions are made with in the nose.
A combination of techniques are used to beautify the nose, each is designed to the individual needs of my patient.
Postopertively
After the surgery both tape and a cast are placed on the nose, a cast is placed over the nose to protect it. This cast is
removed one week after the surgery.
Head elevation after the surgery will help with congestion and breathing.
Contact sports should be voided for 6 weeks after the surgery.
